Shilajit forms over centuries in the rock crevices of the Himalayas, where mineral-rich plant matter slowly breaks down under pressure and seeps out as a tar-like resin. It's one of the more unusual substances in Ayurveda — not a plant, not really a mineral, but something in between that's been collected and used in the mountains for a very long time.
Naturecraft's Shilajit is purified before packing, so what reaches you is the resin itself, without the raw mineral grit it starts out with.
Ingredients: Purified Shilajit resin, 100%.
How people usually use it: A pea-sized (roughly rice-grain) amount dissolved in warm water or milk, usually once a day. It's sticky and dense — a little goes a long way, and it dissolves better in warm liquid than cold.
Good to know: Colour and texture can vary slightly batch to batch since it's a natural resin, not a manufactured one — that's expected. Store in a cool place; it softens in heat and firms up again when cool.
